Rain on Me

Posted by Niña (New York, United States) on 17 June 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio.

It was a nice Saturday afternoon with the heatwave finally over (whew!). So I packed my gear and off I went to Central Park for the Adventure NYC event. It was supposed to be an afternoon of kayaking, giant water slides, bmx bike exhibitions etc. Well, it was for me. For just a very short while.

There was a sudden downpour which caught everyone offguard. Luckily, I was in this pretty covered walkway close to the Bethesda Fountain and the lake. I was stuck there with some others for about an hour and a half.

But I didn't regret that it rained at all! Not a bit!

I've always wanted to shoot in the the rain and it was just the perfect opportunity!

I'll probably be featuring the rain shots I took for the rest of the week. This was one of those very few moments in which I was glad that I was caught in the rain. :)

The world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures, beautiful souls, and interesting people.
Forget yourself."
